Our world consumes more than 6.8 billion plastic toothbrushes every year, none of which can be recycled and takes a hundred years to break down! With 96% less plastic than a conventional toothbrush, our bamboo toothbrushes are a great way to cut down plastic consumption and reduce the amount of waste in our landfills and oceans.

Materials

• Handle – our toothbrushes are made with a slim bamboo handle, which is 100% biodegradable, sustainably grown, and harvested. It is naturally antibacterial, which means it stays clean and hygienic.

• Bristles – the soft bristles are industry-standard BPA-free nylon-6 effective for cleaning without damaging gums and tooth enamel. We believe that sustainable products have to perform at least as well as the conventional plastic product to be a truly viable and sustainable alternative. Currently, there are no natural or biodegradable materials available that meet our requirements for effective brushing, hygiene, and cleanliness that do not harbor bacteria or rot, durability, and affordability. Using industry-standard bristles is a compromise we decided to take for optimal oral care.

Product Care & Use Instructions

Rinse your bamboo toothbrush before and after use and place it in an open-air holder to completely dry.

Proper Disposal

The handle of our toothbrush is 100% biodegradable and it can be recycled in numerous ways. Once it outlived its use, pull out the bristles before burying the bamboo handle in the ground or breaking it into pieces to aid faster degradation before placing it in your bio-waste bin. Bamboo will break down entirely in time, but how quickly it takes to biodegrade depends on the environmental conditions. The bristles can then go into your plastic recycling, but as they are so small and easily lost, we recommend first putting them inside another plastic item you are recycling, like a bottle or food container, and filling it before having your recycling facilities collect your recyclables.

Excellent Bamboo Toothbrush

This bamboo toothbrush is awesome! It's slim and not bulky in the mouth at all, and the bristles are soft and gentle to the gums. I will never buy a plastic toothbrush again.
